Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a caregiver to work in the employer's home in the West Vancouver area. This temporary position involves caring for children, managing light housekeeping, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.

You will follow parents' instructions for toilet training, routines, and discipline, while also supporting the children’s health and development. Ideal candidates have a secondary school diploma and 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare experience or equivalent.
• Temporary work term.

Responsibilities

• Follow parents' lead with toilet training.
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
• Discipline children according to parents' methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Take children to and from school and appointments.
• Tend to emotional well-being of children.
