Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a temporary Christmas Kettle Assistant in Whitby to organize, direct, and supervise kettle campaign activities. You will assist with promoting and overseeing kettle staff and volunteers, schedule shifts, and ensure donations are securely processed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in community programs, and proficiency with Word and Excel. Light lifting and local travel are required; flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote and oversee Christmas Kettle Campaign activities.
• Schedule staff and volunteers for kettles and sites.
• Support orientation and performance management of kettle workers.
• Coordinate kettle deliveries and ensure donation security.
• Maintain site relationships and supplies for kettle locations.
• Transfer kettle contents into deposit bags and handle reports.
