Job summary

Rush Truck Centres of Canada in Timmins, Ontario is hiring a Service Advisor for a permanent full-time role. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will schedule service repairs in a busy shop and track progress from intake to finish.

Shift: Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM at 2439 Riverside Dr., Timmins. You will provide customers with written cost estimates, obtain repair orders, coordinate with dispatch, review and close orders, and explain charges.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred/asset.
• Valid Class G driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills - ADP/CDK experience is an asset.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Driver's Abstract.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service repairs and monitors progress in a busy service department.
• Provides customers with complete and accurate written cost estimates and establishes time to complete work.
• Obtains customer signature on repair orders and establishes method of payment.
• Notifies dispatcher of incoming work and communicates changes in estimates or promised times.
• Reviews and closes repair orders and explains completed work and charges to customers.
