Job summary

Falcon Equipment Ltd. in Victoria/Sooke, BC is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic to install, maintain, repair and test a range of heavy equipment including cranes, snow/ice gear, and rail systems.

Applicants with a Red Seal or in years 3–4 of an apprenticeship, plus own tools and strong troubleshooting skills, are encouraged to apply. A $5000 signing bonus and strong benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment installations and/or maintenance.
• Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic
• Apprenticeship in 3rd/4th year with related heavy equipment experience
• Combination of related education and work experience
• Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
• Ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Your own tools
• Hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge
• Welding experience is a definite asset

If you’re a heavy-duty equipment mechanic, hydraulic mechanic, automotive mechanic, marine mechanic, crane mechanic, elevator mechanic, hydraulic technician or millwright with a few years of experience we want you to join Falcon Equipment! We are looking to fill roles at our Victoria (Sooke) Branch! There is a $5000 signing bonus if you are a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
