Job summary

RJ MacLean Energy Services is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty equipment, perform preventative maintenance and coordinate parts with teams. The role requires a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification and 5+ years of experience, with willingness to work out of town on a rotation schedule.

You will contribute to a strong safety culture, maintain records, and work across shop, yard and field environments. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Willingness to work out of town on a rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and component replacements per manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems with diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records.
• Coordinate repairs and parts with supervisors, operators and vendors.
• Report equipment deficiencies and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in shop, yard and field operations.

The Job: Equipment Maintenance, Repair and Safety

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repairheavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicingand component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic andelectrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance andrepair records.
• Coordinate specialized repairs and partsrequirements with supervisors, operators and external vendors.
• Identify and report equipment deficiencies,safety concerns and maintenance requirements.
• Use tools, equipment and personal protectiveequipment safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicableregulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and properlyequipped work area while supporting a strong safety culture across shop, yardand field operations.

What Skills andTraining Do You Need?

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a HeavyEquipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Vacuum Truck experience is an asset.
• Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License required withclean abstract.
• Excellent safety record and a commitment to safework practices.
• Willingness to provide references, consent to a criminal record check and completepre-employment alcohol & drug testing.
• Must be able to work out of town on a rotationschedule.
