Job summary

RJ MacLean Energy Services is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty equipment, perform preventative maintenance and coordinate parts with teams. The role requires a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification and 5+ years of experience, with willingness to work out of town on a rotation schedule.

You will contribute to a strong safety culture, maintain records, and work across shop, yard and field environments. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Willingness to work out of town on a rotation schedule.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and component replacements per manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems with diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records.
• Coordinate repairs and parts with supervisors, operators and vendors.
• Report equipment deficiencies and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in shop, yard and field operations.
