Job summary

RJ MacLean Energy Services is seeking a Class 3 Vac Operator to join our field team in Alberta. This role supports safe, efficient tank cleaning operations and requires you to operate Vac units with a focus on reliability and compliance with company and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license, experience with Semi Vac/HydroVac/Combo Vac units, and are willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with commercial vehicle operation.
• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with clean abstract (Air Brakes).
• Experience operating Semi Vac / HydroVac / Combo Vac units.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment as per company and customer expectations.
• Maintain equipment per manufacturer requirements.
• Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents.
• Attend daily safety meetings and follow safety program.
• Maintain safety tickets and site orientations as required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment as per company and customer expectations
• Maintain equipment in accordance with company andmanufacturer requirements
• Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents.
• Attend daily safety meetings
• Follow the safety program, including all policies,procedures and practices
• Maintain valid safety tickets & site orientations asrequired

Qualification and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 Years, valid Class 1 or Class 3 Licensew/ Clean Abstract with Air Brakes
• Must be Experienced with the operation of a Semi Vac/ HydroVac/Combo Vac Unit
• 13 or 18 Speed Transmission experience (must be able to drive manual transmission)
• Strong communicator with staff, managers and other drivers
• Instructor certified First Aid & H2S Alive
• CSE, CSTS, Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance areconsidered assets
• Operate a heavy vehicle in challenging environments, in allweather, and in compliance with legal, company, and client requirements
• Willingness to provide references, consent to a criminal record check and complete pre-employment alcohol & drug testing
• Excellent safety record and a commitment to safework practices
• Must be physically fit to enter and exit the vehicle manytimes per day, inspect under vehicle and trailer, and climb
• Willingness to Travel
