Job summary

RJ MacLean Energy Services in Kitimat seeks a skilled Vac Truck Operator to safely operate Vac/Hydro Vac/Combo Vac units, perform pre-trip checks, and maintain documentation. The role requires a valid Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement, strong communication, and the ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with clean abstract and air brake endorsement.
• Experience operating Vac/ Hydro Vac/ Combo Vac units.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team and drivers.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vac equipment per company and client expectations.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents.
• Attend daily safety meetings and follow the safety program.
• Maintain safety tickets and site orientations as required.
• Be willing to work day, night, and weekends on a rotating basis.

Location: LNGC Kitimat

Schedule

The selected Equipment Operator will work 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This position has the potential for additional hours, weekend work, or night-shift.

Responsibilities

• Operateequipment as per company and customer expectations

• Maintainequipment in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements

• Performthorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

• Maintainaccurate ELD logs and required documents.

• Attenddaily safety meetings

• Followthe safety program, including all policies, procedures and practices

• Maintainvalid safety tickets & site orientations as required

Qualification and Competencies

• Minimum3 Years, valid Class1 or Class 3 License w/ Clean Abstract with Air Brake Endorsement

• Mustbe Experienced with the operation of a Semi Vac/ Hydro Vac/Combo Vac Unit

• 13or 18 Speed Transmission experience (must be able to drive manualtransmission)

• Strongcommunicator with staff, managers and other drivers

• Instructorcertified First Aid & H2S Alive

• CSE, CSTS, Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance are considered assets

• Operate a heavy vehicle in challenging environments, in all weather, and incompliance of legal, company, and client requirements.

• Abilityto pass pre-employment Fit to Work & Drug Alcohol Testing

• Mustbe physically fit to enter and exit the vehicle many times per day,inspect under vehicle and trailer, and climb.

• Must be local to the Kitimat and surrounding area

• MUST BE WILLING to work day-shift, night-shift and weekends, on a rotating basis
