Job summary

Noojmowin Teg Health Centre is seeking an IT Intern to provide day-to-day technical and administrative support across the organization’s information technology systems. Under supervision, you will assist with equipment setup, IT inventory, user support, and routine technology projects to help ensure secure, reliable technology services.

The role offers hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, with responsibilities spanning Windows and Microsoft 365 support, device provisioning, cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Science, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience setting up or troubleshooting computers, printers, mobile devices, and other technology is an asset.
• Previous IT help desk or related experience is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a healthcare, community-based, or Indigenous organization is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support to staff for routine hardware, software, network, printer, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
• Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot common computer and application issues and escalate more complex matters to the appropriate IT resource.
• Assist employees with basic use of organizational technology, applications, and equipment.
• Support troubleshooting of meeting room technology, audiovisual equipment, printers, scanners, and other office technology.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, monitors, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
