Wasauksing First Nation in Ontario seeks an IT Support Technician to set up hardware and software, configure drivers, and provide ongoing technical assistance at the nursing station and for visiting services.

The role requires a college diploma in IT with at least two years of experience, strong problem solving and communication skills, and an openness to training from Giiwednong IT Services; knowledge of Ojibway is an asset.

Qualificações

• College diploma in IT or related field; CS degree is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of IT experience with computer systems and networks.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train others.
• Knowledge of Anishinaabemowin (Ojibway) is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Set up hardware and software and configure drivers for computers and printers.
• Maintain and repair equipment including routers and peripherals.
• Oversee security options and privacy in networks.
• Perform regular upgrades and system maintenance.
• Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
• Keep inventory of current systems, users, passwords and updates.
• Set up devices for distance care (virtual) and ensure required software.
• Provide timely technical support and train users on proper operation.
• Assist with drafting/testing written codes for reporting and quality improvement.
