Job summary

Shift Auto Group in Fredericton, NB is seeking a seasoned Head of Accounting & Administration to lead corporate finance across our dealership network. Reporting to the CFO, you will steward financial reporting, controls, planning, and strategic support for growth while mentoring the accounting team.

You bring 10+ years of accounting and finance leadership, post-secondary credentials in accounting/finance, and a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements within

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance
• Strong leadership, budgeting and strategic planning skills
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple business units
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and inventory financing
• Support startups, acquisitions, system implementations and continuous improvement
• Develop financial models, policies, and standardized processes
• Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies
• Perform other duties as required

Shift Auto Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting & Administration to join our Corporate Services team in Fredericton, NB.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide financial leadership across our growing dealership network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective planning, and strategic support for continued growth. Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting;

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning skills;
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office;
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is considered a strong asset;
• Business-minded, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement.

Competitive salary range $125,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
