Job summary

Shift Auto Group in Fredericton, NB is seeking an experienced Head of Accounting & Administration to lead our Corporate Services team and drive financial performance across multiple dealerships.

You will report to the CFO, oversee financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and strategic planning, mentor the accounting team, and partner with senior leadership to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong leadership and strategic financial planning skills.
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.

Shift Auto Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting & Administration to join our Corporate Services team in Fredericton, NB.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide financial leadership across our growing dealership network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective planning, and strategic support for continued growth. What You'll Do

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple business units

• Develop financial models, policies, and standardized processes
• Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies
• Other duties as may be required

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Strong leadership, financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning skills
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is considered a strong asset
• Business-minded, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement
• Competitive salary range $125,000–$150,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications.
