Job summary

Cooke Aquaculture Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our Freshwater Team at Swanger's Cove Hatchery in St. Alban's, NL. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, servicing equipment, and supporting daily hatchery operations.

The successful candidate will have mechanical aptitude, be a team player, and flexibility to adapt to seasonal workloads. Knowledge of pumps, filters, PLCs and speed drives is a plus, along with plumbing or carpentry basics.

Qualifications

• Experience with pumps, filters, PLCs, and speed drives is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours per staff schedule.
• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills are considered assets.

Responsibilities

• Serve equipment per the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions and plan corrective actions.
• Assist with daily hatchery routines and duties.
• Coordinate work activities with the Hatchery Manager.
