Job summary

Mowi Canada East Inc. is seeking a Hatchery Technician to join our Freshwater team at the Northampton hatchery, NB.

The role requires living in on-site accommodations for an 8-day shift and performing duties such as feeding, grading/counting, and health monitoring while maintaining safety and biosecurity. The ideal candidate will have safety awareness, basic education or industry experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or relevant industry experience is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training opportunities.
• Ability to enter/review data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Feed, grade/count or measure fish and monitor health and behavior.
• Maintain records and document management, reporting and data entry.
• Ensure safety and biosecurity measures are followed on site.
• Live and work on site in company accommodations for an 8 day shift.
