Job summary

Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd. in New Brunswick is seeking a permanent full-time Saltwater Equipment Supervisor based in St. George to oversee the Saltwater Equipment Department across multiple aquaculture sites.

You will supervise a team of Labourers, coordinate equipment deployment, manage inventory, and ensure safety and compliance while driving continuous improvement in operations. The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and travel to sites as needed, with a focus on reliability

Qualifications

  • Aquaculture industry experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is assets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Knowledge of saltwater equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Saltwater Equipment Labourers.
  • Coordinate movement of equipment across sites.
  • Establish inventory control and traceability for equipment.
  • Plan daily work activities to support operations.

  • Source and purchase equipment via vendor quotations and purchase orders.
  • Complete reports, records, and inventory tracking.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd. is seeking a permanent full-time Saltwater Equipment Supervisor based in St. George, New Brunswick. The Saltwater Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Saltwater Equipment Department, ensuring equipment is maintained, deployed, and available to support operational requirements across multiple aquaculture sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and support the team of Saltwater Equipment Labourers.
  • Coordinate the movement, deployment, and availability of equipment across multiple aquaculture sites.
  • Establish an inventory control and traceability method for all equipment & assets managed by the Saltwater Equipment Department
  • Plan and prioritize daily work activities to support operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues and guide employees.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee projects, support employees, and address operational challenges.
  • Manage employee schedules, vacation approvals, and payroll submissions.
  • Source and purchase equipment by obtaining vendor quotations and coordinating purchase orders.
  • Complete reports, record keeping, inventory tracking, and general administrative duties.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in the aquaculture industry is required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel.
