Spray Lake Sawmills Centre (SLSC) is aleading-edge sport and recreational facility encompassing 325,000 square feet,including an aquatic centre, four arenas and a curling centre, fitness &climbing facilities, an indoor turf, track, and gymnasium. About the Position
Reporting to the Guest Experience Supervisor and with day-to-day direction provided by the Team Leads,you will deliver exceptional customer service as part of the dynamic team. You will monitor/maintain safe and efficientdaily operations of the facility, ensure exceptional customer service bysupporting a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment, and represent SLSC in a friendly and welcoming manner as the first point of contact for most visitors. This position includes a technical component,working heavily with our CMS/Bookings system to process customer transactions &memberships.
Job Type
Part-time, hourly (~1-3 shifts/week, or ~10-20hours/week) - This is an ongoing, year-round position.
Availability Required
- Weekdays M-F daytime (8:30am-5:00pm)
- Willing to do an "opening" shift on occasion(starts at 4:30am on weekdays)
- Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend shifts is also an asset

Specific responsibilities
- Provide enthusiastic customer supportin a sincere, professional and courteous manner, striving to exceed customerexpectations within a collaborative team environment.
- Multitask with customers, programregistration, membership sales, answering telephone calls and touring potentialcustomers.
- Learn and become an expert at using ourbookings/CRM software - ActiveNET
- Perform all cash handling functionsaccording to policies and procedures.
- Ensure all customer accounts arecomplete and accurate.
- Develop and utilize a strong knowledgeof products & services available at SLSC & ability to assist customersto make an informed choice.
- Understand various aspects of thebusiness including knowledge of facility layout, programs, public and specialevents schedule and tenants.
- Understand sale techniques toeffectively sell SLSC programs, services and memberships.
- Operate equipment – POS, Ingenico,printers, copier & computer.
- Listen to customer complaints withempathy & act appropriately.
- Understand and apply all safety,security and emergency procedures including thorough knowledge of GuestServices emergency procedures, and the required action plans.
- Understand improvements and accountabilitiesby reading updates to communication binder.
