Job summary

Germain Hotels group in Toronto is seeking a Lead Host to manage reservations, seating, and guest experience in a busy restaurant setting. You will lead the host team and coordinate VIP arrivals and private dining events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Restaurant experience an asset
• Excellent stress and pressure management skills
• Good physical condition: standing for long periods of time
• Positive, trustworthy attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations and guest experience through OpenTable, optimize seating and guest flow
• Coordinate private dining bookings (up to 20 guests) and work with culinary/service teams
• Manage Punch email inbox and respond to guest inquiries by phone and email; handle special requests and dietary accommodations
• Lead, coach and train the host team; prepare daily VIP reports and reservation communications
