Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) is hiring for a Host to manage reservations, seat guests, and ensure a smooth dining experience. You will greet guests, maintain cleanliness of menus and materials, and work with the Manager on seating plans.

The role requires Smart Serve certification, experience in a high-volume venue, and availability across days, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with SevenRooms is an asset, with a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve certification required.
• High-volume restaurant/club experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with reservation systems such as SevenRooms is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations and seating to optimize dining room flow.
• Welcome guests and maintain a professional first impression.
• Ensure menus and materials are clean and ready for service.
• Handle in-person reservations through the reservation system.
• Coordinate seating plans with the Manager to maximize capacity.
• Assist with table resetting and service continuity during peak times.
• Support Bussers, Servers, Bartenders, and Managers as needed.
