Job summary

Germain Hotels in Toronto is seeking a Sales & Catering Coordinator to drive small group bookings, contract finalization, and seamless event execution, including lodging, meeting space, and catering. You will support the Sales team and ensure accurate follow-up on all group-related activities.

You’ll negotiate contracts, coordinate site inspections, manage function space revenue, and act as the liaison between operations and sales to keep clients informed throughout the billing and post-event

Qualifications

• One to two years of sales experience in hospitality.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera PMS is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong sense of organization, planning and attention to detail.
• Collaborative, proactive and service-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Occasional availability on evenings and weekends, depending on event needs.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and finalize contractual agreements with clients for meetings and events.
• Upsell menu options and manage site inspections and client visits.
• Manage meeting room revenue through planning and scheduling of function spaces.
• Serve as the primary contact for small groups booking rooms and catering; ensure accurate Opera profiles and billing setup.
• Coordinate audiovisual needs and space configurations; prepare final invoices.
• Loster communications between operations and sales and share relevant updates.
• Support sales events, trade shows, and presentations; perform other duties as assigned.
