Job summary

Pigeonhole Beltline in Calgary is seeking a part-time host to welcome guests, manage reservations, and support the front desk. The role includes seating guests, handling takeout, and aiding curbside pickup while maintaining a smooth dining flow.

Experience in hospitality is preferred; OpenTable familiarity is a plus. The position offers a competitive hourly wage, gratuities, and benefits after 90 days for eligible workers.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred but not required
• ProServe certification within 30 days of starting
• Strong English communication skills with the team and guests
• Basic understanding of dining room operations and POS use

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner
• Ring in takeout and execute curbside pickup orders
• Seat guests and manage overall flow of the restaurant
• Assist with settling bills and process transactions as needed
• Maintain front desk area cleanliness and organize menus
• Communicate with servers about upcoming tables and guest needs
• Thank guests and invite them to return
• Support manager to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
