Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Guest Experience Representative to serve as the primary contact for guests, managing check-in/check-out, reservations, and inquiries to ensure a seamless, welcoming experience at Jackson’s Retreat and Conference. You will coordinate with dining, kitchen, housekeeping and other departments to deliver outstanding service.

This casual relief role requires secondary education, a couple years of admin or customer service experience, strong computer skills

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion required; post-secondary hospitality or related diploma asset.
• Background checks (Abuse Registry, Criminal Record) may be required.
• Minimum two years of administrative or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to operate office equipment and basic AV setup.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication with a service-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and escalate issues when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service via calls, emails, and inquiries.
• Welcome visitors and group leaders, creating a high-quality guest experience.
• Coordinate guest arrivals, sign-ins, room assignments, and internal communications.
• Manage reservations and front desk transactions including bookings and check-ins/outs.
• Screen calls, relay messages, and respond to correspondence promptly.
• Handle front desk records, invoicing, data entry, and reporting.
• Safeguard confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee office logistics including supplies and mail/courier services.
• Provide on-site operational support, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance.
• Set up meeting spaces, AV equipment, dining areas, and maintain cleanliness of common areas.
