Job summary

Cole International is seeking a Global Pricing Analyst in Calgary to manage client pricing, develop competitive quotes, and negotiate with carriers. You will update CargoWise and CRM, respond to rate requests promptly, and work with Business Development and Customer Service to expand client relationships.

The role requires 3+ years in freight/logistics pricing, CIFFA certification preferred, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with CargoWise and CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage pricing for clients and prospects with spot rates and quotes.
• Negotiate rates and tariffs with vendors to stay competitive.
• Update CargoWise and the CRM with client and rate data.
• Respond quickly to customer rate requests per guidelines.
• Collaborate with BD and Customer Service to grow relationships.
• Monitor market trends to inform pricing strategies.

What You'll Do

• Manage pricing for clients and prospects, offering spot rates and general quotes
• Negotiate rates and tariffs with vendors to ensure competitive pricing
• Update internal systems like CargoWise and the CRM with client and rate information
• Respond promptly to customer rate requests in line with company guidelines
• Collaborate with Business Development and Customer Service teams to identify new opportunities and expand existing client relationships
• Stay up-to-date with market trends to influence pricing strategies that align with company goals
• Support financial decision-making by analyzing performance data and contributing to pricing strategies at both macro and micro levels

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in the freight or logistics industry
• Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing (an asset)
• Completion of CIFFA certification or equivalent industry training (preferred)
• Familiarity with Dangerous Goods regulations (an asset)
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors
• Knowledge of basic economic, budgeting, and accounting principles
• Hands-on, analytical, and collaborative approach to business development and project management
