Job summary

VeriFast is seeking an experienced HR leader to own recruiting, contracts, benefits, compliance, and employee relations across a multi-country workforce. The role requires partnering with hiring managers, managing offers, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the U.S., Canada, and globally.

The position offers a full-time schedule with hybrid or remote work options depending on location, and a compensation package in USD reflecting experience and geographic scope.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive HR experience across recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
• Experience managing HR matters across the U.S. and Canada; international hiring experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment law; familiarity with EOR and PEO models for international hiring.
• Experience drafting and managing employment agreements, offer letters, and contractor agreements.
• Proven experience owning full-cycle recruiting and partnering closely with hiring managers.
• Experience managing performance management and compensation or bonus cycles.
• Strong discretion handling confidential employee, compensation, and legal matters.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, Gusto, or Greenhouse is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to scope open roles, define requirements, and translate them into clear, compelling job descriptions.
• Own job posting and distribution across job boards, the company careers page, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Manage the full interview process, including coordinating interview panels, building interview guides and scorecards, screening resumes, and conducting initial phone and video interviews.
• Guide hiring managers through structured interviewing, feedback collection, and decision-making to reduce bias and improve hiring quality.
• Extend and negotiate offers and manage the offer-to-start pipeline, including background checks and pre-employment requirements.
• Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, source of hire, and offer-acceptance rate, and report on hiring pipeline health.
