Job summary

Vianode is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead North America HR activities, partnering with the Oslo headquarters to support growth across regions. You will drive talent acquisition, employee development, and HR operations for Canada and the US, while ensuring compliance and a strong workplace culture.

The role starts remotely, with travel and a later transition to on-site operations as the plant progresses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience supporting business growth, large-scale projects, or start-up operations.
• Proven ability to partner with leaders and balance strategic and operational HR priorities.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, digital HR tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function for North America, aligning with corporate HR strategies and global practices.
• Drive workforce planning, organizational readiness, and HR preparations to support plant development.
• Manage full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, succession planning.
• Partner with local leadership to support objectives, growth, and a high-performing workplace culture.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, employee well-being, and HR policies and programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Develop relationships with local stakeholders and external organizations to support talent attraction and development.
• Lead training, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
• Contribute to global HR projects and support leaders across regions.
• Analyze HR metrics to provide insights for business decisions.
