Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering safe, ethical resident care within a geriatric/long-term care setting.

The RN will support teamwork, uphold AgeCare’s mission and guiding principles, and promote resident safety while respecting rights and diversity. The successful candidate will coordinate care, lead shift reports, review physician orders promptly, and ensure chart documentation aligns with provincial standards and AgeCare

Qualifications

• Nurse must have geriatric/long-term care experience.
• Bachelor of Nursing and active provincial registration.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation.
• Experience with resident documentation and orders review.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood.
• Lead shift reports with the health care team and inform changes in resident status.
• Review and process physician orders per procedure and communicate delays to leadership.
• Promote resident safety, teamwork and adherence to AgeCare policies.
