Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team. You will coordinate nursing and support services for residents, and work closely with the Director of Care to deliver safe, ethical, person-centered care within your scope of practice.

You will lead shift reports, document changes promptly, review physician orders, and ensure timely implementation. A Bachelor’s in Nursing and active provincial registration are required, with a commitment to resident safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
• Registration and active licensure with provincial registry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood.
• Leads shift report with health care team, ensuring all members are informed of changes in residents’ status.
• Records significant changes in residents’ condition and ensures chart documentation adheres to policies.
• Reviews physician orders per procedure and communicates difficulties promptly to leadership.
• Ensures timely implementation of orders and maintains resident safety and quality care.
