Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for a talented and dynamic General Maintenance I who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do!

What you will do:

General Maintenance I is responsible for responding to internal and external calls and may also assist in maintaining the hotel facilities in optimum operating condition, by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel power plant machinery (including heat, light, power, air conditioning, plumbing and refrigeration). They must have the ability to communicate and interact with guests, work independently and productively and prioritize and handle multiple assignments. This position is ideal for a team oriented, versatile, well groomed hospitality professional. In this role the General Maintenance must have a willingness to learn and advance themselves within the engineering department.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for an individual who possesses an affinity for guest service! This position requires a General Maintenance candidate with a minimum of 2-5 years of technical experience or equivalent in a recognized trade with understanding of the building maintenance and operation.

They will be required to learn various technical systems. Candidate must have knowledge in Building Maintenance Systems (BMS) - BES 700+ / Building Operator I or II. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach to any request! This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Preferred qualifications & skills

• A minimum of five years of technical experience or equivalent in a recognized trade with understanding of the building maintenance and operation.
• The ability to communicate and interact with guests.
• The ability to work independently and productively
• The ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
• The ability to learn various technical systems. A willingness to learn and advance themselves within the engineering department.
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field

Starting rate of pay of $29.39 per hour and full rate of pay of $32.65 per hour

Schedule & Hours:

Successful candidates possess open availability and the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and overnight rotations.
