Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer (Non Ferrous) for our Windsor North location. Under the Site Manager, you will sort metals, weigh trucks, and perform site maintenance while upholding safety standards.

The full-time permanent position offers CAD 25.75/hour, overtime after 44 hours, plus benefits, a RRSP match, and an annual tuition scholarship up to $8,500 for eligible dependents. Career development support is provided in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Good Computer Skills.
• Experience in operating a crane.
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure the equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operate the forklift as required.
• Work with a safety oriented mindset.

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork liftas required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset
