Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer for our Sudbury North location. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises and for receiving, sorting, and organizing ferrous metals on site.

You will weigh trucks using the RECY system to properly track material and operate heavy machinery as required. This full-time role offers CAD 25.75 per hour, with overtime after 44 hours, and includes vacation, benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, or metal recycling is an asset.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, forklifts, or loaders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate and maintain equipment.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn site systems.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
