Zusammenfassung

American Iron and Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer at our Québec site to support receiving, sorting and classifying metals, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will operate forklifts and other equipment as needed, weigh materials in RECY, assist customers, and help keep the work area clean and organized in a busy industrial environment.

• Experience in an industrial environment is a plus.

Job Description

We are looking for a General Labourer to join our team at our Québec site. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play an important role in our daily operations. You will be mainly responsible for receiving, sorting and classifying different types of metals, as well as participating in their processing and proper handling.

Your responsibilities

• Receive, unload, sort and classify different types of metals;
• Identify materials and direct them to the appropriate areas based on their type and quality;
• Participate in the processing and preparation of metals;
• Welcome customers and assist them when materials are received;
• Weigh materials and enter data into the RECY software;
• Operate various equipment, including forklifts, as required for operations;
• Perform daily opening and closing activities;
• Keep the work area clean and safe and perform other related duties.
