Job summary

CMI is seeking a General Labour to join our Operations team in North York/Concord. You will work outdoors, helping with shipping and receiving of recycled metal, delivering strong customer service as yard traffic comes and goes.

Responsibilities include receiving material, advising customers on type and grade, handling inquiries, sorting materials manually, and aiding housekeeping. This role suits someone with a can-do attitude and a readiness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced yard setting.

Location: North York- Steeles and Weston Road & 8470 Keele Street, Concord

Pay Rate: from $19 and up based upon experience and qualifications

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Here’s where you come in…

CMI is looking for a General Labour to join our Operations team. Working outdoors, in a team environment, you will be involved with the shipping and receiving of recycled metal.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Deliver the highest levels of customer service as customers enter the yard
• Receive material and advise customers on type and grade
• Answer customer questions and assist with any inquiries as required
• Manual sorting of material
• Be an extra helping hand with general housekeeping requirements
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

We think it would be awesome if you have:

• Previous experience in an industrial facility is an asset
• Previous customer service experience is an asset
• Previous experience working outdoors is a bonus
• Good English communication skills
• Posses the desire and ability to learn
• Pervious forklift experience is an asset
