Job summary

Combined Metal Industries is seeking a General Labour to join our Operations team. This outdoor role involves shipping/receiving recycled metal and assisting customers in a busy yard environment. You will sort materials, advise on type/grade, and help keep the area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving of recycled metal in a yard setting.

• Help with general housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean work area.

General Labour/ Housekeeping/ Yard Grader/Material Processor

Location: North York- Steeles and Weston Road & 8470 Keele Street, Concord

Pay Rate: from $19 and up based upon experience and qualifications

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Here’s where you come in…

CMI is looking for a General Labour to join our Operations team. Working outdoors, in a team environment, you will be involved with the shipping and receiving of recycled metal.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Deliver the highest levels of customer service as customers enter the yard
• Receive material and advise customers on type and grade
• Answer customer questions and assist with any inquiries as required
• Manual sorting of material
• Be an extra helping hand with general housekeeping requirements
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

• Previous experience in an industrial facility is an asset

• Posses the desire and ability to learn
• Pervious forklift experience is an asset
