Job summary

Combined Metal Industries Inc. is seeking a General Labour / Yard Grader to join our Operations team in Cambridge, ON. The role involves working outdoors in a team setting, handling shipping and receiving of recycled metal, and delivering excellent customer service as customers enter the yard.

You will receive material, advise customers on type and grade, answer inquiries, and perform manual sorting while helping with housekeeping and staying detail-oriented in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in an industrial facility is a plus

General Labour / Yard Grader

Location: 454 Dobbie Dr, Cambridge ON, N1T 1S7

Shift: 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, every other Saturday

Pay Rate: from $19 and up based upon experience and qualifications

The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

Here’s what we do… CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Here’s where you come in… CMI is looking for a General Labour / Yard Grader to join our Operations team. Working outdoors, in a team environment, you will be involved with the shipping and receiving of recycled metal.

• Deliver the highest levels of customer service as customers enter the yard
• Receive material and advise customers on type and grade
• Answer customer questions and assist with any inquiries as required
• Manual sorting of material
• Be an extra helping hand with general housekeeping requirements
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

• Previous experience in an industrial facility is an asset
• Previous customer service experience is an asset
• Previous experience working outdoors is a bonus
• Good English communication skills
• Posses the desire and ability to learn
