Job summary

Combinedmetal is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Vaughan, Ontario. In this role, you will perform troubleshooting maintenance work on all plant and yard equipment, assuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment repair, maintaining hydraulic systems, and installing machinery. Candidates should have a 443A Millwright Licence and minimum four years of relevant experience. A valid G license and own tools are also required.

Qualifications

Combined Metal Industries (CMI for short!) sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Here’s where you come in!

CMI is looking for a new employee to join our team.In this role you will perform direct troubleshooting maintenance work for repair, adjustment, adaptation, re‑design, preventative maintenance and installation of all plant and yard equipment, machinery and infrastructure in order to assist in a safe and productive work environment for all employees. This position is performed outside in our recycling yards as well as indoors in our maintenance shop.

• Perform Preventive Maintenance activities as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant and yards in conjunction with daily production requirements
• Repair breakdown of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint
• Install and commission new machinery
• Perform weld repairs on equipment

We think it would be awesome if you have or are…

• 443A Millwright Licence
• Welding Certifications
• Possess a minimum of four years of Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic experience.
• Experienced with welding
• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and expediting repair
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• G license
• Own tools
