Job summary

Belwood Poultry Limited in Amherstburg, ON, is hiring for a turkey processing role. You will cut, trim and prepare poultry parts, operate industrial equipment, and maintain cleanliness in your area.

The position requires wearing PPE and following safety rules, with a team-oriented environment and opportunities to work closely with lead hands and supervisors. Day shifts, Monday to Friday, with overtime options available.

Qualifications

• Food processing experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Willing to work in cool, damp conditions.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Process turkey products, including cutting and trimming poultry parts.
• Operate industrial food production equipment.
• Wear PPE and follow safety requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Interact with team members at all levels and collaborate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Several duties involving the processing of turkey product.
• Cutting, trimming & removal of poultry parts
• Working with industrial, food production equipment
• Demonstrated ability to wear proper PPE (steel toe-rubber boots, hair nets, gloves, safety glasses, apron etc.) and comply with safety requirements
• Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility
• Adhere to individual Standard Operating Procedures.
• Interact and share information with Team Members at all levels (Lead Hands, Supervisors, Others). Actively participates in their work group
• Other tasks as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions
• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Physical requirements: standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending and lifting
• Fast paced environment

Compensation:

• Starting Rate: $19.00/hr
• Health care, LTD, Life Insurance following a 90-day probationary period for yourself and eligible family members (co-paid)

Schedule:
