Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a General Labour in Downsview, Ontario to join the Production team. You will work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, handling daily processing tasks and contributing to quality and efficiency.

You will assemble/disassemble equipment, participate on the production line, monitor weights and quality, and help maintain safety and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with repetitive tasks.
• Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Able to perform repetitive lifting.
• Participates and successfully passes formal BT Training.
• Able to lift up to 27kgs repetitively.
• Can work well in a team environment and support fellow team members.
• Good communication skills, able to speak and read English.
• Punctual, reliable and responsible.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high food safety and health and safety standards.
• Assemble and disassemble designated equipment.
• Works on the production line to process pork products.
• Puts product onto racks and secure, ensure product is separated.
• Checks and weighs materials and/or product.
• Follows curing process of salting and desalting hams.
• Checks products for basic quality defects.
• Inspects, trims and removes quality defects from product.
