Job summary

Paladin Security in Edmonton is seeking a vigilant security professional to monitor sites, respond to alarms and emergencies, and maintain a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment.

You will report to the Site Security Manager, supervise security staff when needed, help with training, and prepare clear reports on incidents, while ensuring safety and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• Provide high level customer service in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including computer use.
• Speak, read and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access per site policies.
• Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical, fires, urgent matters).
• Prevent theft, violence or infractions of rules and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain professional reports on activities, violations, and hazards.
• Effectively communicate suspicious activities to dispatch on behalf of the client.
• Supervise security staff, deploy resources to meet demand, review reports, and provide coaching.
• Oversee and facilitate initial and ongoing site training of security staff.

Job description

• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with site policies and procedures
• Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other urgent matters)
• Prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules and regulations
• Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations, and hazardous occurrences on site
• Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues, and events to our dispatch team on behalf of the client
• Reporting to the Site Security Manager, supervise security staff members, deploy resources to meet operational demand, review reports, and provide coaching as necessary
• Oversee and facilitate initial and on-going site training of security staff members

Requirements

• A Valid Security license is considered an asset
• Must have a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends) - maybe change this since its only days.
• Must be bondable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including working on a computer
• Speak, read and write English fluently
• Have reliable transportation
