Job summary

Urban Barn is hiring a Store Supervisor for the Uptown store in Victoria, BC. You will lead a team alongside the Manager and Assistant Manager to deliver exceptional shopping experiences and a positive work environment.

The role requires guiding customers, managing store operations, and coaching staff across 30–40 hours per week with varied shifts, including weekends. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in retail sales with customer service leadership experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in decor choices and product selection.
• Open, prepare and close the store according to procedures.
• Train and coach team members for consistent service.
• Support stock and merchandising tasks to maintain layouts.
• Ensure store performance and visual standards are maintained.

Participate in the leadership of an inspiring furniture and home décor store. As a Store Supervisor, you will collaborate with the Manager and Assistant Manager to create a positive working environment for the team and an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we are looking for candidates who can work 30-40 hours per week and are available to work a variety of shifts on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.

What You Will Do:

• Guide customers in their decor choices
• Open, prepare and close the store
• Train and coach team members
• Supports operational tasks for stock and merchandising
• Ensure the performance of the store
• Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store

What you Bring:

• At least 2 years of Retail sales experience
• Experience in Customer Service Leadership
• Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open to daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
• The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
