Job summary

The Root Cellar Village Green Grocer in Victoria is seeking a full-time Customer Care Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise cashiers, and uphold exemplary service. You will lead opening/closing, manage staff schedules, and ensure policies are followed in a welcoming, community-focused store.

This role requires strong leadership, cash handling, and a passion for customer care, with a hands-on approach to training and developing the team in a busy grocery setting.

Qualifications

• One year of retail supervisory experience in a grocery, food specialty or front end environment preferred.
• A passion for providing superior customer care and sharing produce knowledge.
• A positive attitude and the desire to lead and motivate a team.
• The physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50lbs repeatedly.
• The ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
• The availability to work full-time, 40 hours weekly for various shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cashiers to ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service, optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Lead store opening and closing procedures, including till reconciliation.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including returns and complaints.
• Assist in managing, motivating, training and developing staff according to company policies and procedures.

• Maintain store and display signage to set standards.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Full Time Customer Care Supervisor to join our growing team.
