Job summary

The Root Cellar Village Green Grocer at McKenzie Corner in Victoria, BC is hiring a Production Clerk to prepare meat and deli in-house products and support our busy kitchen with recipes and food safety standards.

You will work in a team, handle repetitive tasks, lift up to 50lbs, stand long hours, and provide friendly customer service while maintaining quality and freshness across salads, sandwiches, sauces, and ingredients.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Production Clerk to join our Root Cellar team! As a Production Clerk, you will be responsible for various duties including preparing meat and deli in-house products, while following recipes and food safety procedures to ensure consistent quality, freshness, and presentation.

• Ensure that product quality, freshness, and presentation meet our high standards.
• Follow all workplace and food safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare a variety of salads, sandwiches, sauces, and ingredients.
• Stock displays to ensure adequate product levels in the department.
• Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
