Job summary

Freson Bros. is hiring a Full-Time Sourdough Baker for our Edmonton, AB location (Glenora). The role involves preparing doughs, shaping loaves, and baking bread to meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized bakery floor.

You will work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, handling bakery equipment, and delivering an exceptional customer experience through knowledgeable service and a passion for fresh products.

We are hiring for a Full-Time Sourdough Baker with a wage range of $17.00 - $25.00 at our location in Edmonton, AB. (Glenora location)

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread
• Bake traditional bread and bakery products
• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge
• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
• Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
