Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to promote the Safety Above All Culture and manage daily sort operations and Cargo Handlers at a station in Canada. You will lead and guide staff in proper package handling, routing and resolving service deviations within the sort function.

You will oversee all CH activities, mentor staff, ensure adherence to FXE policies and government regulations, and maintain safe, efficient processes during peak periods and routine shifts.

Qualifications

• College degree is required.
• 2 years FedEx sort operations or senior hourly role experience, or 2 years supervisory experience in a related industry.
• Must possess valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver any package up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Complete basic and recurrency training including DG certification.
• Mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
• Inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Safety Above All Culture and oversee day-to-day sort operations and Cargo Handlers at the station.
• Lead and guide staff in proper package handling and routing; resolve service deviations within the sort function.
• Supervise all Cargo Handlers, provide mentoring, coaching, and training; ensure policy compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure administrative processes align with FXE policies and government regulations.
• Address conflicts, communicate clearly, and maintain quality while streamlining processes.
