Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate to support cashier and merchandising functions in a locally owned store within the community. You will help maintain shelves, assist customers, and ensure procedures are followed in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include cashier duties, merchandising upkeep, loss prevention, and delivering excellent service. You will work with a national brand that emphasizes community care and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Planning, judgement and decision making are essential to organizing the store.
• Independent thinking in organizing store operations.
• Problem solving to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cashier/merchandising staff comply with all store policies and operating procedures
• Trains cashiers/merchandisers in job functions
• Provides on-going guidance and instruction
• Implements loss prevention standards and manages daily cash office inventory and cashier tracking
• Answers inquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, etc.
• Resolves customer issues according to established guidelines (refunds, exchanges, etc.)
• Promotes the CSI Survey
• Ensures shelves are clean and organized with proper rotation
• Ensures product displays are set up and taken down as directed by the AFSM/FSM
• Maintains housekeeping and store image standards
• Complies with Health and Safety requirements
• May perform clerical and banking duties
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Performs other duties including cashier duties when necessary
