Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Ottawa is seeking a Front Store Manager to lead the non-pharmacy operations of the store, including cosmetics, and to drive exceptional customer service while managing costs and processes.

You will supervise staff, optimize schedules, coach teams, and ensure adherence to corporate standards and local regulations, with a focus on delivering a superior customer experience and achieving store targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of retail management experience.
• Ability to drive the business and lead by example.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching and communication skills.
• Excellent financial acumen and budgeting skills.
• Leadership and mentorship to develop staff.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience and profitability.
• Lead management team to ensure store standards 100% of the time.
• Manage labour scheduling and optimize labour productivity using WFM.
• Ensure staffing levels are adequate to operate the business.
• Hires and supports hiring for all departments excluding Pharmacy.
• Conduct probationary reviews and annual staff performance reviews.
• Coach and develop staff through performance management.
• Drive the store’s culture and employee engagement.
• Analyze financial reports and address discrepancies between planned and actual.
