Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Markham is seeking a Front Store Manager to lead the non-pharmacy areas of the store, including cosmetics, and to drive customer service, sales and store standards. You will manage staffing, scheduling, coaching and financial performance, working with the management team to achieve store targets while upholding the company’s core values and Blue Culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in retail management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive the business and lead by example.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching and communication skills.
• Strong business and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Store Standards to optimize customer experience and store profitability.
• Works with the Management Team to ensure Store Standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroom.
• Manages labour scheduling and leverages Work Force Management to maximize labour productivity.
• Ensures staffing levels are adequate to operate the business.
• Hires and/or supports hiring for all departments excluding Pharmacy.
• Analyzes financial reports, identifies trends and meets targets.
• Sets departmental goals and drives strategies to improve efficiency.
