Job summary

FreshCo / FreshCo Chalo in Winnipeg is seeking a front-end supervisor to ensure exceptional customer service and to oversee cash register operations in partnership with the front-end manager. The ideal candidate has at least six months of cashier experience, strong POS knowledge, and a customer-service orientation.

You will promote teamwork, clear communication, and compliance with health and safety standards, while handling routine cash accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Six months of cashier experience.
• Management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• Customer service orientation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.

In the absence of the front-end manager, theyare responsible forresolving cash register issues and securing the cash registers in the safe.

Here’swhereyou’llbe focusing:

• Ensure that customer service is exceptional.

• Apply policies and procedures,comply withgovernment health guidelines and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are consistently applied and adhered to by all department employees.

• Act as a resource person for team members.

• Create a work environment that promotes trust and communication within your team.

• Perform various cash register accounting operations (money transfers, deposits, checks, weekly audits, etc.) in collaboration with the front-end manager.

• Perform any other related duties.

What you have to offer:

• A high school diploma isa valuable asset.

• You have at least six months of experience as a cashier.

• You have valuable management experience and knowledge of point-of-sale computer systems.
