Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a courteous front desk associate for a hotel, motel, or resort setting in Canada. You will register arriving guests, assign rooms, handle reservations, and provide information on facilities and local points of interest.

You will resolve guest inquiries, process arrivals and departures, and assist with special needs while delivering excellent customer service and handling payments and clerical tasks. On-site housing options are available as part of the role.

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
  • Resolve complaints and claims.
  • Process group arrivals and departures.
  • Take, cancel and change room reservations.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Provide general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
  • Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying).
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Provide customer service.

  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers

  • Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for mature workers
