Huronia Transition Homes is a multi-site, multi-program organization operating throughout Simcoe County, providing shelter, support, education and advocacy to women and their children who have experienced abuse. We work to end all violence against all women. We are committed to providing equitable services based in intersectional feminism and harm reduction philosophies.
We are currently seeking a bilingual dynamic and energetic individual passionate about anti-violence to join our team as a Francophone Crisis Counsellor. The position is based out of our La Maison Rosewood Shelter location in Midland. The Francophone Crisis Counsellor will provide immediate and responsive support to women and children in the shelter and will provide telephone support to women in the community who have experienced violence. The Francophone Crisis Counsellor works rotating shifts of 12.5 hours, with both day and night shifts required.
