Job summary

Interfor offers a Forestry Intern position in Castlegar & Grand Forks, BC, starting in May for a 4–8 month term on site. You will work alongside experienced foresters, gaining hands-on experience in planning, fieldwork, and safe forest management.

You will use GPS and mapping software, visit active worksites, and contribute to projects supporting safe, efficient operations while developing skills for your future forestry career.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Forestry related post-secondary degree or diploma program.
  • Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
  • Physically fit and able to work in challenging weather and terrain.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Get hands-on exposure to forestry operations and sustainable forest management.
  • Explore active worksites and learn how forests are planned, harvested, and regenerated.
  • Use industry tools and technology, including GPS and mapping software.

Thisis an on-site internship with an anticipated start date inMay.Ideally,you’llbe available for a 4 to 8 monthterm.
