Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd in Stoney Creek is seeking a Foreman to organize and dispatch technicians, ensuring quality repair work for the Service Department and advising the Service Manager on technician skills and training needs.

You will supervise service staff, maintain an organized workshop, and communicate effectively with customers and branch personnel. Journeyman in Heavy Duty Equipment and service‑dept experience are required, with after-hours availability expected.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman in Heavy Duty Equipment trade is required.
• Experience in a service department setting is expected.
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products is preferred.
• Forklift license is preferred; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Foreman reporting to our Stoney Creek location.

The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
• Supervise the work of service technicians
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment
• Advise and mentor technicians
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
• Establish & maintain an on-call field schedule
• Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person
• Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
• Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
• Other duties as required

What We Look For

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset
• Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade required
• Experience in a service department setting required
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred
• Forklift license preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills required
• Candidates must be willing to be available after-hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
